Job Summary:
The Sales Coach role is responsible for developing the sales team, coordinating sales operations, and implementing sales techniques allowing the business to consistently meet and surpass its sales targets consistently. The Sales Coach provides ongoing coaching, feedback, product, and sales training focusing on the sales process to ensure maximum high closure rates for new hires and existing sales representatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- 1) Provides superior guidance, mentoring, coaching, and feedback for the Sales Associates to strengthen their overall sales performance
- 2) Observe and coach the Sales Associate's performance daily
- 3) Ensures coaching's are completed in a fair and timely manner
- 4) Conducts evaluations on Sales Associates
- 5) Maintain database of scores and conducted one-on-one performance reviews with the Sales Associates
- 6) Must continue to be well-versed in and knowledgeable of all products and services, procedures, and policies
- 7) Understand goals and identify/bridge gaps in performance, productivity, and quality at both the individual and team level
- 8) Updates own role and leadership knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities
- 9) Coach sales to expand customer value propositions through the utilization of expanded product knowledge, improved technical knowledge/support, and resolution of customer issues/requests
- 10) Respond promptly to inbound and outbound calls emphasizing a focus on assisting in achieving service level and sales targets
Expected Performance Metrics for the Sales Coach Position:
- 1) Team Must maintain a 65% or higher SDR rate
- 2) No member of the sales team may fall below 50% SDR for a given month period
- 3) Team must maintain an 80% or greater Install Rate
- 4) Each agent on the team must maintain an average credit of $55 or less per scheduled Install
- 5) Each agent must maintain a 7% or lower price-matching rate
- 6) Inside Sales Group must maintain a 2% or lower abandon rate
- 7) Sales Coach must retain 95% or more of their sales agents each month
- 8) Sales agents must average above 90% on the quality assurance scores
- 9) All QA evaluations must be signed and completed by Sales Coach and Agent within same week of receiving it
In addition, Sales coaches must:
- 1) Possess the necessary coaching skills as outlined above
- 2) Adhere to the company attendance policy
- 3) Be free of any unresolved complaints from team members/and or co-workers
- Failure to meet all expected performance metrics in a given month will result in an agreed-upon performance improvement plan.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 3-5 Years management experience in call center environment
