Position Overview
The Sales Director is the servant leader responsible for leading, building and supporting strong customer relationships and a capable sales team to serve our wholesale customers in Grocery, Cafes and Industry channels. This position will build and implement the sales plan that anchors to the annual strategic plan as well as develop and implement business plans with our customers.
The ideal candidate will grow sales by building relationships rooted in a sense of shared purpose. Leadership Responsibilities
- Champion our mission and values internally and externally
- Lead and manage Sales team and Customer Support team
- Ability to problem solve challenges and shift priorities quickly
- Desire to help and mentor others
Core Responsibilities
- Embody the Wonderstate brand to customers and consumers at every point of contact
- Own and implement Customer Strategy to achieve business objectives
- Conduct regular travel to existing customers and leads
- Own new customer pipeline across all stages from prospect to support
- Own customer marketing and communication initiatives (newsletter; events, assets)
- Proactively update customer business plans, conducting customer business reviews
- Develop and provide sales forecasts
- Build out and maintain CRM platform
- Lead development of key processes
Requirements and Desired Skills.
- Located in Viroqua/Madison/La Crosse area
- Ability to travel for customer calls, meetings and events up to 50% of time
- Servant Leader
- Coffee experience preferred with interest in specialty coffee required
- Minimum 5 years of Sales/Account Management Experience in natural grocery
- Prior team management / leadership experience a must
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical skills, attentive to details and experience analyzing data/information

- Reports to: Chief Brand Officer
- Schedule: 4 day week, 36 hours full time
- Location: Based in Viroqua
- Coverage Area: Upper Midwest: Minneapolis to Chicago to Des Moines
- Travel: up to 50%
- Physical demands include frequent driving, ability to lift 40 lbs.
