Position: Sales Manager

Reports To: VP of Sales & General Manager

Pay: $18 an hour and upwards DOE

The Sales Manager primarily functions as the liaison between Sales Directors, clients, and hotel properties to bring group and volume business to Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort to meet financial goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a determined market for group and corporate sales efforts for the hotel.
  • Aggressively solicits prospective group business for the hotel, while consistently maintaining profitable relationships with existing key accounts.
  • Manages all aspects of the sales cycle with prospects: relationship development, sales presentations, proposal generation and contract negotiations for business that yields the highest occupancy and average rate attainable based on hotel business plans.
  • Implements a strategic sales plan of action in target market segments set forth by Vice President of Sales.
  • Conscientiously ensures that all sales activities are accurate and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage room blocks and reservations via hotel PMS systems in coordination with hotel General Managers.
  • Create BEOs and collaborate with Food & Beverage departments.
  • Participate in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediately communicate to the guests and properties, and develop professional long term business relationships.
  • Develop strong relationships with on property Front Office and F&B departments to ensure working together in unity and always striving to achieve the highest revenue goals.
  • Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.
  • Become well versed in hotel's Property Management System (PMS) as well as Salesforce Delphi, the group's catering and management software.
  • Convey a favorable image of the hotel with a positive, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
