Sales Representative & Business Development Manager

System 1, Inc., a governance and strategic risk management consultancy firm, seeks an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to collaborate closely with our seasoned leadership team to establish new client relationships in both the federal and commercial sectors. Our headquarters is based in North Bethesda, MD, however this is mainly a work-from-home position when you are not meeting with potential clients.

You will earn a competitive base salary of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, plus commissions and an annual performance bonus. You will also enjoy great company benefits such as:

As our Sales & Business Development Manager, you will create consistent marketing collateral to support our business development mission using tools such as Salesforce and Deltek’s GovWin IQ. You will also be expected to:

• Create a plan that identifies opportunities, clients, and target sales tactics.
• Work with the leadership team and subject matter experts to prepare for client meetings and develop marketing materials.
• Coordinate press releases and social media posts.
• Attend both virtual and in-person education, speaking, and networking events.

To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of (4) years of business development, marketing, or sales experience in the cybersecurity, risk management, or IT consulting services industries. We also require you to have:

• Prior experience developing and implementing a client call plan that includes candidate identification, background research, and relationship building.
• A working knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management terminology.
• Experience with ERP and CRM platforms. Prior experience with GovWin IQ or Salesforce is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Twitter, and LinkedIn for business.
• A high school diploma or GED. A college degree is preferred, but not required.
• Examples of prior marketing documents you produced.
