Job Title: Food Service Director
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
District: Jaffrey-Rindge Area
Great family friendly position that follows the school schedule. No weekends or nights. Optional work during the summer (salary listed does not include summer wages).
Primary Purpose: Direct and manage the food service programs and supervise area food service operations. Plan and implement programs that meet regulatory and nutritional requirements for students, promote development of sound nutritional practices, and maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree with academic major in foods and nutrition, dietetics, home economics, or food service management, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field OR Associate's degree with 1 year school food service management experience OR GED with 3 years school food service management experience.
Must have eight hours of food safety training (completed not more than 5 years prior to start date).
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of menu planning, food purchasing, and preparation of foods in food service environment. Ability to manage budget and personnel. Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
