What You'll Do:
Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day to day operations of the department and supervise the department team to achieve sales, gross profit and shrink goals. You'll handle receiving, storage, processing, cutting, and trimming seafood products; packaging, tying, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and labeling products; maintaining case conditions and stock levels; fulfilling customer requests for product from the seafood case and help answer their seafood questions; and selection, training, development and scheduling of seafood associates.
Successful Seafood Manager candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Previous retail experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
You'll need to be friendly and courteous in order to provide excellent customer service and be able to identify various cuts of meat, as well as the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Basic computer skills and/or the ability to learn how to operate case cutters, wrapping machine, baler/compactor, and computerized scales are also important.
