Line Chef
Expectations
- Arrive on time and in uniform for your shift.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Communicate upon arrival and assist in the transition for your shift.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations assigned with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and in accordance to recipes. Learn cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Answer, report and follow management’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in high volume
- Understanding of food safety
- Will train
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and bending
- Must be able to lift up to forty pounds
- Fast paced kitchen environment
Shared housing available for the right canidate.
Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour based on experience
