Job Title: Security Engineer I
Job Summary:
FAR Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer I to join our team. As a Security Engineer I, you will be responsible for providing security engineering and integration support to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization's systems and application data. This role requires experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting cloud solutions, as well as migrating systems to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). The Security Engineer I will also have knowledge of federal cybersecurity policies and standards, as well as expertise in security technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps (Professional), AWS Certified Security (Specialty), AWS Certified Advanced Networking (Specialty), or Microsoft Certified (Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.
2. Demonstrated experience providing security engineering and integration support in protecting systems and application data.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting cloud solutions.
4. Experience in migrating systems to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms.
5. In-depth understanding of federal cybersecurity policies, directives, and mandates, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.
6. Extensive knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, DLP, WAF, IPS, firewalls, and related tools.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to work independently under general direction, demonstrating initiative and taking ownership of tasks.
10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Responsibilities:
11. Provide security engineering and integration support to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and application data.
12. Design, implement, and maintain security controls and measures to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into the development and deployment of cloud solutions.
14. Troubleshoot security issues and incidents and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
15. Conduct system and application assessments to identify security gaps and provide recommendations for improvements.
16. Migrate systems and applications to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms, ensuring secure configurations and compliance with industry standards.
17. Stay updated on federal cybersecurity policies, directives, and mandates, such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.
18. Utilize security technologies, including SIEM, DLP, WAF, IPS, firewalls, and related tools, to monitor and detect security incidents.
19. Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
20. Work independently under general direction, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
