What You Will Do:*

As a security supervisor professional for Xpress Guards, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel and supervising the team of guards you are assigned to. You will be the liaison between the employees and the operations manager.

*
Supervising:* Managing the workflow on your shift, training new hires, oversee employees' performance, creating/updating staff schedules and covering shifts as needed.

*
Emergency Lead:* Handling emergency situations in a calm and proactive manner.

*
Fire Watch:* Patrol a property or business and identify fire hazards.

*
Rover:* Foot patrols, car patrol, incident reporting, touring/scanning sensors, enforcing rules, monitoring the perimeter, etc.

• Oversee the daily operations of assigned sites; conduct regular and random site checks
• Assist with recruiting, orienting, and training security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures
• Create staff schedules, schedule shift patrol, and assign guard duties to ensure sites are properly guarded at all times; ensure sufficient trained, licensed, and vetted staff are available to meet customer and contractual requirements
• Assist with time and attendance and payroll; provide troubleshooting software/platform support
• Drive employee engagement by personal interaction and engagement with your team in order to develop and coach them in their duties and responsibilities
• Follow and enforce safety and health protocols, policies, and procedures to protect employees against workplace hazard
• Assist with handling discipline and grievance matters following the disciplinary protocol ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws
• Respond to incidents and critical situations; conduct investigations and liaise with public law enforcement agencies and fire department
• Responsible for handling incidents, ensure accurate and timely reporting, prepare detailed incident reports, track, evaluate and recommend course of action to avoid reoccurrence
• Oversee activity reports and vehicle inspections
• Maintain inventory control of uniforms, badges, security tools and equipment
• Develop professional client relationships, responding appropriately to client requests and concerns
• Acting as a role model and always behaving in line with our company values
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
• Must be a minimum 21 years of age
• Must possess an active Guard Card (California) and Exposed Firearm Permit (California)

• Must have 5+ years of experience working a supervisor in the security industry
• Pass an extensive background check (criminal record, driving record, drug testing etc.)

• Must have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Must be able to clearly communicate in English (speak, read and write)
• Must be capable of performing all physical requirements to include standing, walking, and sitting
