United Talent Staffing is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Hearthstone Holdings Inc. team in Naperville, IL

(Office 3 days/week, remote 2 days/week)

Senior Accountant Performs and coordinates accounting activities for a holding company of multiple utilities. Includes preparation of financial reports and account reconciliations, maintaining general ledger and other ‘repeatable’ activities, plus complex special projects such as participating in the integration of acquisitions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analyses and reports.
• Perform research and analysis; reach appropriate solutions.
• Interact with utility controllers to assist them with implementing corporate wide initiatives.
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of budget.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting processes or procedures.
• Perform complex special projects such as implementing new accounting standards, preparing analyses for and presenting to senior leadership.

Main Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA highly preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience, with strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting and tax laws.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to produce exceptional work under tight customers.
• Comfortable identifying and presenting new ideas.
