Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA (Database Administrator) with expertise in Oracle database management and a strong background in general data management practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data security. Additionally, experience in managing and optimizing data across various systems and platforms is required. As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our organization's databases and data assets.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and administer Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

2. Perform database installations, configurations, and upgrades following best practices and considering system requirements.

3. Implement and maintain database security controls, including user access management, role-based security, and data encryption.

4. Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, index optimization, system resource utilization, and resolve database-related issues.

5. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity, including regular backups and testing of restore procedures.

6. Conduct capacity planning and performance monitoring to anticipate and address database growth and resource requirements.

7. Collaborate with development teams to provide database support and expertise during application development and testing phases.

General Data Management Responsibilities:

1. Oversee data management processes and procedures, including data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management.

2. Develop and implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow across systems and platforms.

3. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, standards, and policies.

4. Implement and maintain data security measures, including data access controls and data privacy regulations compliance.

5. Monitor data quality and identify areas for improvement, implementing data cleansing and validation processes as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

2. Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA, including hands-on experience with Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and backup and recovery.

3. Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle tools and utilities.

4. Experience in managing and optimizing data across various systems and platforms.

5. Familiarity with data management principles, practices, and tools.

6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
