About You
As a Senior Engineering and Maintenance IT Specialist, you will have the opportunity to globally support 3D models for plant and equipment data. This role aligns with the business and functional strategies to provide timely and effective development, troubleshooting, and support core solutions related to business processes, work processes, policies, and procedures. This role will lead a team to guide and oversee S3D configuration tasks using their extensive S3D knowledge and ability to evaluate improvements and alignment with Hexagon on development updates and questions.
Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Serves as a global subject matter expert working across all businesses and sites to provide technical expertise and guidance related to system architecture, work process and related management system best practices. Ensures effective and efficient implementation of Operations IT/OT MET1 solutions across area(s) of scope (i.e., in support of improvements to current SAP functionality, plant start-ups, new business implementations, etc.)
  • Executes the strategy for management of end user and/or super user networks to strengthen collaboration and improve overall site/Business Operations IT/OT performance and system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Leads and supports development, testing, and implementation of Operations IT/OT solutions (applications and tools) in support of business processes, work processes, and policies and procedures.
  • Executes the strategy and monitors effectiveness of routine support of user issues across all regions and sites. Provides advanced training, consulting, metrics, support and troubleshooting activities and coordinates appropriate life cycle management of IT/OT applications within area(s) of scope. Assures resolution of issues, escalating support needs appropriately.
  • Coordinates and executes creation, update, management, and use of job aids, training materials, and metrics related to IT applications and tools, system functionality, and related work processes.
  • Develops, implements and monitors performance measures related to system functionality, work process and application life cycle management and leads strategic gap closure activities and other opportunities for improvement and Business Process adoption.
  • May lead, coordinate and/or execute improvement initiatives related to the area of focus, including training, document updates, metric updates, stakeholder management and other change management activities.
  • Coordinates, identifies need and executes functional and cross-functional training related to area of scope. Leads leveraging of best practices and sharing of learning experiences across applicable networks.
  • Leads and supports large project and Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture activities, including data (unstructured and structured) identification/cleansing/transfer/validation, testing, health checks, defect resolution, etc. Sets and executes the strategy for business and site integration and carve out relative to area of scope.
  • Assures business process expertise and contracted support are provided to on-site Joint Ventures, 3rd Party / i-Park clients based on established agreements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (i.e. manufacturing and/or I/S-related)
  • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States or Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience leading a small groups and/or projects
  • Experiences in Intergraph SmartPlant 3D (Reference Data, Bulk Loading, Version 2011 or greater symbol development)
  • Understanding SmartPlant 3D data structure and views
  • Building complex SQL queries
  • Database query analyzer and data mining techniques and tools
  • Basic Intergraph SmartPlant 3D administration skills
  • Software / Programming Skills: Visual Basic 6 /.Net (VB or C#)
  • Familiar with Windows 10 – Operating System / Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016, Office 365
  • Intergraph Metadata browser tool experience
Additional Notes:
  • The preferred locations for this role within North America are Houston, Freeport, Plaquemine, Midland and Fort Saskatchewan (CAD). Other sites will be considered.
