POSITION SUMMARY
Direct and supervise daily operation for Engineering and Maintenance function in plants. Set up strategic plan for functional development to support the company goal. Manage Major Capital Investment projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Project Management
- Set up, implement the annual Capital Investment Budget to support the company goal.
- Work with Global Engineering Management, Purchasing and other functions for new equipment, facility searching and specification set up.
- Act as representative from Engineering to manage vendors, external inspectors and FAT for project Management.
- Act as project leader to ensure projects are completed meeting preset specifications, within budget and on time.
2. Engineering and Maintenance Daily operation Management
- Develop and implement equipment management process to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Lead the technical team to focus on supporting the plant operation to achieve its goals, specifically related to line efficiency
- Lead the implementation of preventive maintenance program for equipment and facilities;
- Prepare function budget and monitor expenditure of funds to meet budgetary commitments.
- As Key member of company cost reduction team, Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater efficiency of labor and materials.
- Review new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Direct training and coach technical team to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
- As key member of company food safety and operational safety team, work with related functions to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment for continue improvement of food safety and operation safety system.
- Develop and implement fixed asset management process for spare parts, company fixed asset and machines.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed from time to time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises daily Engineering operations team with about 30 staffs including 2-3 Direct Reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or above from an accredited four-year college or university major in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer or related technical field
- At least 15 years of relevant work experience including supervisory or project management experience and 10 years of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) program experience for production equipment, facility and utility equipment in food industry.
- Strong field trouble shooting experience; hands on PLC (500) trouble shoot experience or program writing; able to use Auto CAD, spreadsheet and presentation programs.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and operational Safety programs.
- Knowledge and experience of Lean/Six-Sigma, GMP, SSOP, ISO and ERP system are highly preferred.
- Familiar with MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Good interpersonal skills, able to interact with different levels of employees/peers.
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
High proficiency in English; bilingual in English-Chinese or English-Spanish is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Ability to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and capabilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Project Management Certificate, TPM Certificate, Lean/Six-Sigma Certificate, or any other relevant professional certificates are highly preferred
