Senior Full Stack Web Developer (FULLY REMOTE) Job at JMA Solutions, LLC

JMA Solutions has an opportunity available for a Full Stack Developer supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization. We are looking for a candidate who has experience developing web applications with strong expertise in React, Node.js, and MongoDB. GeoServer expertise is a plus. Responsibilities include developing test cases and unit tests using Jest, react-testing library, etc. Participating in paired programming, code, and pull-request reviews and approvals. This position is remote
Duties include but are not limited to:
Design and implement web applications from initial concept and requirements to finished deliverable
Develop, debug, document, and test web application stack composed of ReactJS / Redux / MongoDB /NodeJS.
Participate in development team activities and Agile ceremonies to support iterative processes and improvements in quality and productivity
Collaborate and provide guidance on software development best practices
Job Requirements:
Experience building complex web UI and understanding of and maintaining UI design patterns using React JS
Knowledgeable of backend development with NodeJS and Mongo DB
Experience with the JEST testing frameworks
Experience with GeoSpatial/geographic information systems (GIS) Mapping desired
Experience with Atlassian products including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence
Make recommendations for improvements to user experience, technical implementation, architecture, application design, etc.
Must be familiar with or have experience with agile development processes, including Kanban
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to write and edit technical software documentation
Ability to mentor junior developers and other team members
Must be able to work well with coworkers and teammates as well as customers and stakeholders
SECURITY CLEARANCE: The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science systems engineering as applied to analysis of engineering requirements and must possess 8 years of development experience. The education requirement may be substituted with relevant work experience; 8 additional years of professional work experience is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
