Overview:
Job Description
Coordinates, manages, and oversees the activities and resources for an assigned information technology project of complex nature, ensuring all facets of the project management processes, as identified in the project management institute's project management body of knowledge, are addressed and that proper project management documentation is developed and maintained. Ensures information technology projects are completed within the defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of an information technology project and scope. Works with client to identify project objectives and to establish project parameters, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Develops project plans and cost projections and recommends changes as appropriate; identifies and allocates resources and prioritizes tasks to ensure objectives are met.
  • Aligns project activities with organizational objectives; ensures project outcomes equate to organizational success
  • Coordinates the development of and integrates policies and procedures to meet project requirements.
  • Facilitates meetings and maintains mutual interaction with project team members, project leaders, staff, vendors, and consultants. Identifies project and application dependencies and risks, ensuring mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks in order to reduce the risk of failure and ensure success of project.
  • Informs management of key activities and makes periodic progress reports summarizing project status, risks, and required actions and associated timelines. Maintains and ensures accuracy of project documents and reports.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable job-related field and four (4) years of IT Project Manager or IT Management related experience or equivalent combination of Project Manager or IT Management related education/experience
  • PMP Certification

Knowledge & Experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems, equipment, and applications.
  • Knowledge of technological trends/developments in area of expertise.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to establish and clarify project objectives, goals, parameters, budgets, deliverables, deadlines and the roles and responsibilities of participants.
  • Ability to identify project and application dependencies and risks.
  • Ability to develop mitigation/contingency plans.
  • Ability to organize and manage resources.
  • Ability to prepare and present periodic project progress reports
