About the role

The Senior Manager – Enrolling and Billing (E&B) System Optimization gathers and documents business system and functional requirements, influences system design to increase support and ensure solutions meet the our goals and requirements. You will complete and coordinate implementation of design and requirements, testing, operational readiness, and then transition to the appropriate production support team. You will understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating goals, including their linkages to related areas.

You will make decisions regarding own work methods and receive guidance where needed. You will be the subject matter expert for E&B in enterprise wide projects and work cross collaboratively to support the remediation of audit findings from Federal, State and Private entities.

You will report to the Director of Enrollment and Billing Optimization

This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $132,000 - $173,250 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $118,800 - $155,925 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits and annual performance bonuses.


Responsibilities

  • Lead E&B Optimization team responsible for oversight of accuracy of member and billing data
  • Provide expertise to departmental leadership by taking on important ad-hoc projects
  • Be the departmental advocate and reference point for Senior Leadership
  • Build team vision and strategy including quarterly vital updates to Senior Leadership
  • Develop monitoring controls related to audits and maintain them.
  • Create a data-driven approach to identify and process variations which includes performing cost benefit analysis to support transformational projects
  • Maintain the principles of process improvement to support the Production team in E&B
  • Coordinate and help develop enhancements to existing systems or creations of new systems to increase efficiency to enrollment and billing:
    • Requirement gathering
    • Compliance analysis
    • Capacity modeling
    • Risk management

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in health insurance, consulting, healthcare, or operations
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • 2+ years experience working in payer enrollment, eligibility and billing
  • Experience with E&B technology e.g. EDI 834
  • Experience with system data flow & system architecture for member data
  • Experience driving Senior Leadership decision-making using data
  • Experience in program management, design or implementation
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide programs: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
