What You'll Do:
As a Senior Manager Operational Excellence, you'll be part of our Global Operations team, is a hands-on trusted business advisor responsible for developing strategies and driving direct engagement with site leaders in active implementation of SBD operating systems to drive KPI impact and cultural transformation. This role provides coaching and facilitation of site resources in the engagement of SBD operating systems.
You'll get to:
  • Lead operational excellence teams to design, develop, and implement continuous improvement strategies and solutions that enhance functional and operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements that optimize all phases of processes (financial and non-financial); be actively involved in the development and implementation of long-term improvement plans.
  • Establish project value propositions that tie financial metrics and financial focus areas directly to operations business improvement.
  • Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency which includes restructuring of job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment & systems.
  • Design and lead the implementation of Lean standard tools and concepts within operations such as 5S, Visual-Management, Standard Work, Kaizen events program, SMED, Flow, Poka-Yoke, PDCA, etc.
  • Ability to engage operations and functional leaders in meaningful reviews of operational KPI's to determine appropriate responses to address gaps.

You also have:
  • BS degree in Business or Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience within a related field. Masters or MBA preferred
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, productions planning, TPM, PPAP and CTQ methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Lean / CI methodologies with implementation experience in operations
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, or other project management certification preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time depending on home location, including manufacturing environments and distribution centers
