This position requires experience in Firmware development, focusing on VHDL/Verilog code development, simulation, and Hardware integration and test verification. The engineer will be expected to work on site at least part time, depending on the program supported. Experience with either Vivado (Xilinx) and/or Quartus (Intel) is a desired need. Digital and RF-mixed signal board experience and knowledge is also a plus. The engineer will be dealing with high speed interfaces, as well as state of the art FPGA and embedded Processor based components. The engineer will be responsible for supporting the design development through the release cycle. The position requires research, design, development, and testing of complex electrical designs including documentation development, hands-on test and troubleshooting, and formal documentation of the electrical design.

The programs require broad electrical support, including issue resolution to distributed I/O architectures, remote test station equipment and power distribution systems. Work across disciplines during integration and test activities is required.

Moorestown is a township in Burlington County, New Jersey, and is an eastern suburb of Philadelphia. Another one of its attributes is its proximity to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is about a 15-minute ride away. Nearby communities include Mt. Laurel, Cherry Hill, Vincentown, and Burlington. This region is just a beautiful suburban setting with lots of scenic residential towns and all the things that one would expect to include great school systems and lots of great shopping and restaurants. Ocean City, NJ is just over an hour to the southeast. Annapolis, MD is just over two hours to the southwest. Washington, DC and the capital region are just three hours away. Virginia Beach, VA is less than six hours from Moorestown. Killington, VT is six hours to the north with some awesome skiing.
Basic Qualifications:
  • VHDL and/or Verilog coding experience.
  • Experience with either Vivado (Xilinx) and/or Quartus (Intel).
  • Chip build, timing closure experience.
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Technical Degree
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security Clearance
Desired Skills:
VHDL Development.
FPGA design build and timing closure.
HW test/debug capabilities.
High Speed interface experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
