Senior Process Engineer - Seed Treatment

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Process Engineer - Seed Treatment are:

• 
  Operational Support
  • Provide ongoing key process and operational support throughout the production season within North America Row Crops;
  • Partner with site personnel, Regional Process Engineers, Seed Production Innovation, Seed Treatment Manager, Automation, Information Technology Systems, and Global Engineering teams to deliver the business;
• Process Improvement
  • Identify improvement opportunities by utilizing lean manufacturing tools including: VSM, A3, Process Mapping, etc.;
  • Lead and participate in seed treatment projects;
  • Ensure smooth implementation of innovation projects in manufacturing operations;
• Process Standardization
  • Monitor, trend, and investigate process deviations and drive organizational standardization;
  • Be technical author on crop level treatment SOPs;
• Process Capital
  • Partner with crop leadership team to develop long term capital plans based on constraints and equipment condition;
• Technical Expertise
  • Key seed treatment Subject Matter Expert for North America Row Crops;
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure strong network and alignment between sites;
  • Lead seed treatment networks and technical summits.

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Agricultural Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of eight years manufacturing experience;
• Good Analytical and problem solving (decision making) skills;
• Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies internally and externally, including leadership;
• Good organizational and presentation skills at a leadership level
• Good interpersonal skills such as communication, listening, verbal and assertiveness with ability to influence;
• Results driven with ability to manage ambiguity.

This position can be located within a Bayer Crop Science facility location in the Midwest.
