For nearly 50 years, The University of Oklahoma Outreach, National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS) has been improving the effectiveness of human services through training, capacitybuilding consultation, and other services.

Over the years, our resources have helped support the missions of various human service organizations in Oklahoma and across the nation.


Position Summary:

This position will support the Oklahoma Successful Adulthood (OKSA) Program's outreach and extension goals by managing projects from conception to implementation. Supervise staff as assigned to oversee the implementation of assigned projects and programs.


Duties:

1. Manages and coordinates the copy and content for electronic, print, merchandise, promotional, and multimedia communications projects. (25%)

2. Manages, sources, and writes website and multimedia content. Ensures new material is accurate, correctly linked, and promoted. (25%)

3. Prepares and maintains reports and records related to outreach campaigns, web analytics, and program initiatives. (15%)

4. Research the trends in human services outreach and extension, conducts studies, interprets analytics of current social platforms, makes recommendations for improvement, and implements initiatives to increase positive online results. (10%)

5. Ensures NRCYS and OKSA representation in email marketing, social media marketing, web content, videos, and other formats. (10%)

6. Plan and attend internal and external meetings. (10%)

7. Write reports, professional correspondence, and other projectrelated documents. (5%)

8. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the position's function and fulfill the contract's requirements.

9. Ensures outreach materials comply with required University standards, State and Federal laws, including Section 508 Accessibility.

10. Maintain knowledge and skills pertaining to legislation, best practices, and trends related to child, youth, and family services.

11. Utilize program data to guide workrelated decisions.

12. Uphold, safeguard, and engage in activities to support the University mission, NRCYS vision, mission, values, and core principles of NRCYS.


Job Requirements


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or a related field and 24 months of experience in multimedia, outreach, and social networking.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Highly proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced editing, proofreading, and composition skills
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations for electronic and information technology accessibility, including Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide highquality services while managing multiple projects under strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Knowledge of complex ideas and ability to simplify for a general audience
  • Ability to think critically, problemsolve, and exercise professional judgment

Departmental Preferences:

  • Master's degree in human services, education, or a related field and experience in:
  • Experience using Survey Monkey and MailChimp
  • Collaborating with public and private child welfare and/or child and youthserving organizations
  • National child welfare federal legislation, practices, policies, and initiatives
  • Regional or national conference planning and/or workshop marketing or promotion
  • Curriculum design and development (e.g., instructional design, adult learning principles)
  • Experience with online and blended learning development and delivery
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development (including knowledge of accessing child welfare legislation and continuing education resources)

Supervision: This position will supervise at least three individuals.
