BluePoint Controls is a technology-based manufacturing company providing controls and user interface solutions to Global Markets including Semiconductor and General Industrial. We are offering a Senior Quality Manager opportunity and are looking for a motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and can do the following. Pay depends on experience and typically ranges from $130,000 to $160,000.

Primary Job Responsibilities of a Senior Quality Manager include:

The Senior Quality Manager will be overseeing and developing the company’s Quality Management System. They will train and oversee the Quality Department and help create and improve processes that align with company values and goals. They will help to take on additional tasks prioritized by the VP of Operations. The Senior Quality Manager is well-organized, a strong communicator and able to follow-through on tasks.

  • Obtain, analyze, and coordinates corrective action, on significant deviations from quality standards. Effectively communicates relevant information to the management team.
  • Participates in the review of all design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation & procedures to ensure that the customers' quality requirements are met, both for current and new customers.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in overall defect-reduction, monitors defect-reduction procedure effectiveness, and implements appropriate adjustments.
  • Communicates with customer representatives for quality related issues and concerns via email or through customer specific portals. Timely communicates with customers on open or pending actions items.
  • Works with Engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues on the production floor.
  • Ensures that supplier quality problems are investigated, trends are tracked, and issues resolved.
  • Prepares and manages the annual departmental budget.
  • Establishes and tracks departmental goals and objectives. Trains, motivates, and yearly evaluates performance. Counsels, records, and disciplines all supervised employees including the Quality Manager in training.
  • Ensures that all team members receive training hours consistent with the company’s goals each year.
  • Ability to make staff recommendations regarding hiring, terminating, and disciplining.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred with 5 or more years’ experience working as a Quality Manager.
  • Ability to train, teach and mentor subordinates to develop a strong team.
  • Must be very organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
