RIS Advanced Manufacturing, Modernization, and Technology (AMMT) - Integrated Digital Intelligence and Automation Systems (iDIAS) has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Software / Digital Automation Engineer to join our Factory of the Future – Automation Intelligence Team. As a Digital Factory Engineer, you will be a key contributor to software design, development, integration, and testing for deploying advanced Smart Factory / Industry 4.0 technologies along with software tools that allow for debugging and analysis. Additionally, this role will perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for any software issues identified in the AMMT products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts. The role will work in close collaboration with automation systems engineering, chief engineers / architects, the front end of the business, and AMMT / factory leadership and will include all aspects of the product development lifecycle - planning, requirements, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting RIS-AMMT Digital Factory and SCADA systems; develop / support automation control software.
• Develop and execute data architectures; analyze and correlate large, complex data sets; support digital thread implementation; develop and execute analytics reports and visualization toolsets and ensure data integrity
• Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years related experience, to include significant software development using combination of tools such as: LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C/C++ or other similar programming languages.
• Requires solid data analytics skills with demonstrated ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries.

Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

*** This position is onsite at our Santa Barbara County (Goleta), CA location and may support occasional remote work. Must be available for infrequent (approx 25%) travel to other Raytheon U.S. locations ***

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Ignition, Splunk!, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP Business Warehouse / Analysis for Office, SQL Server, SAP PRISM and CMES, Eyelit, Excel / Visual Basic, Kinaxis, Windows Task Scheduler Automation
• Experience with some combination in distributed controls, cyber security, creating web applications, artificial intelligence, IT infrastructure integration or other related fields
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Experience with automation systems (robots, vision systems, PLCs, etc.)
• Familiarity with Ignition Perspective, and/or experience with web development and Python. Experience with programming in an analytical language which can be used to extend Power BI functionality (Python or R)

Required Education: Typically requires a related University Degree (or 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of Degree); an advanced degree is preferred but not required.
