Job Title: Mobile App Systems Engineer III

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

SUMMARY

The Mobile App Systems Engineer III is responsible for the activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Mobile App Systems Engineer IIIs work closely with Cyber Security Engineers, Solutions Architects, Software Developers, Test Engineers, Operations Team, Product Owners, and with Creative Technologists to produce effective and functional solutions while maintaining design integrity across all project phases. This specific position will have proven knowledge and expertise in software and system requirements and be able to take ownership of requirements traceability for any derived lower-level requirements up to the applicable source (system-level requirements) from which they originated. Reports to the assigned Program Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the development of interface requirements and interface specification documentation.
  • Coordinates integration activities with integration/interface working group members, develops test plans for integration/interface testing and produces test result reports and metrics collection.
  • Generates or provides input for new or existing documentation.
  • Leads interface requirements reviews in a cross-functional setting to support verification activities, traceability, and assessment/analysis of risk.
  • Supports test planning by identifying testability requirements and supporting review of test cases and defects, as needed.
  • Provides input to planning and scheduling direction for project and release management.
  • Coordinates with Cyber Security team to ensure designs comply with Government security standards.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six (6) – Eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Wireless Networks.
  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification.
  • Experience in Android and IOS platforms.
  • Experience with Responsive Web Design with JavaScript-based frameworks.
  • Experience with Mobile technologies, ideally at least one of Xamarin, .NET MAUI or Flutter.
  • Understanding of the communication technologies commonly employed by mobile apps, especially HTTP(S), JSON, Bluetooth LE, and NFC.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a valid U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Technical Science (e.g., Engineering) and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience.
  • Must understand on-line learning environments.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be skilled in data and spreadsheet analysis and presentation of information including graphic software such as PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong computer skills including business solution software.
  • Prior experience working with programming languages, hardware, operating systems, and software a plus.
  • Prior experience with cloud environments such as AWS is a plus.
  • Must be analytical and able to problem solve for technical issues.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties while operating under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

TRAVEL

Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy.

Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. Seeing up close, must not be color blind. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Pay is $120,000 to $150,000 per year.
