GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Dining Room Server is responsible for prompt and courteous dining room service. This includes serving food and drink to the residents and keeping the dining room organized and clean, as well as any other job duties listed below or as outlined by their supervisor. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates the Generation’s mission, vision, and values in the daily work and interactions with others.

SCOPE OF JOB TASKS:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Sets tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware

· Cleans tables

· Wipes tabletops and chairs

· Take meal orders from residents

· Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room

· Supplies self-service bar with food, such as: soups, salads, and desserts

· Gathers plates and bowls as necessary for self-service bar and soup kettle

· Serves meals, drinks, and condiments to residents

· Assists setting up food and drink for special events or meetings

· Assists with clean up after special events

· Cleans server area at the end of shift

· Maintains cleanliness of prep items in produce cooler (salad dressings, fruits, etc.)

· Makes coffee and fill fruit juice dispensers

· Sweeps and mop floors

· Transfers food and dishes between floors of establishment to residents

· Completes daily and weekly cleaning duties

· Other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Education:

· High school diploma or GED is desired

Experience:

· No previous experience is required

Qualifications:

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $20.54 per hour
