To maintain efficient traffic flow in the service lane by parking vehicles in a safe manner and maintaining a neat appearance of the service parking and drive areas while assisting service department in delivering a 5 star customer experience.
Essential Duties:
· Prepare customers vehicle for service by placing a seat cover and floor mat in the vehicle prior to driving the vehicle out of the lane, report areas of damage on vehicle to service advisor immediately
· Drive vehicle to and from the service lane, service stalls and parking lot as needed
· Drive ‘shuttle’ or other company vehicles at times
· Transport customers to and from facility
· Road test vehicles under direction for various reasons
· Secure vehicles once parked and documents where vehicle is located, tag and return keys to board located in the shop
· Ensure the service reception area, parking area and lane always look neat and orderly
· Provide a warm welcome and fond farewell to all customers arriving and departing, ask all customers within 10ft that are not with an employee if they need assistance
· Report accidents to service manager immediately
· Assist service advisors with tagging and gathering information from tow-ins or large trucks (mileage, vin number, location, etc.
. Clean driveways and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary
· Remove floor mat and seat cover from vehicle, ensure vehicles are free of bird droppings when being retrieved from around the tower
· Check in and park rental vehicles and complete all necessary paperwork
· Assist greeter with customer arrivals and departures during times of high volume
· Complete all side work assigned by the manager; maintain the cleanliness of the customer lounge and restrooms, stock supplies in the service drive and always keep the service lane clean and safe, inspect every hour.
· Check tire air pressure and adjusts as necessary, advise service advisor when tire pressure is more than a couple pounds off manufacturers specifications
· Preform complimentary alignment checks on every vehicle (if applicable)
· Squeegee lane when wet to prevent slips and falls
Other Duties:
· Complete ongoing training as specified by manager
· Answer phone and schedule appointments
· Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refer dissatisfied customer to appropriate individual for resolution
· Work as a team to ensure the satisfaction of all customers
· Assist with building and grounds maintenance as needed.
· Assist on shop clean-ups, deliveries and shuttle runs as needed
· Report low levels of inventory to appropriate individual for ordering
· General housekeeping
· Any other duties assigned by manager
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work in all weather conditions, this position requires you to be indoors and outdoors frequently throughout the day
· Ability to stand, walk, bend over for extended periods of time
· Ability to roll vehicles to check alignments
· Hazards from moving vehicles
