Job Description
Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety and environmental regulations
Administers training programs in accident and fire prevention and protection and other employee safety procedures
Prepares and distributes educational material and information, including safety displays
Conducts site visits to collect safety information and audit facilities for compliance with OSHA regulations
Maintains appropriate safety and environmental documentation
Understands and interprets ISO 9000 as relates to safety and environmental requirements
Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
1+ years of experience
Must have shipboard and shipyard experience.
Must Have The following: OSHA Training Institute (OTI) courses or NAVSEA approved equivalents: 5410; Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Maritime Industry, 3095; Electrical Standards, 3115; Fall Protection, 521; OSHA Guide to Industrial Hygiene.
Must be a US Citizen.
