The Shipping Coordinator is in charge to coordinates effectively the activities related to the shipping area where he actively participates with the other shipping employees and the different drivers in everything related to the verification and maintenance of records of shipments that leave and / or enter our facilities of Curtis Puerto Rico.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Verify the shipping instructions and requirements of each client order including the; pick list, shipping notice, commercial invoice, bills of lading, AES, etc. as well as documents to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet customer requirements.

· Follow up and carry out the necessary procedures to guarantee the collection, safe and timely transport either by sea, air or land method of the shipments for the clients and ensure to achieve with the quality in terms of accuracy, integrity, and good condition of the merchandise in each shipment.

· Determine the space requirements and location of shipments in containers and trucks and establish the instructions for proper handling by the carrier, according to the established requirements.

· Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with required shipping specifications, documentation, and seals.

· Verifies pending shipment reports each day, provides to area employees with the necessary documentation for the preparation of such shipments, and clarifies any information and instructions for preparation and effective handling according to specifications established by the Curtis Mount Kisco customer service group for each order.

· Made the daily billing of each shipment as appropriate and maintain the inventories in the automated system of the company designated for such transactions.

· Realize the entries for move tickets in the system of the units of products that arrive from production or warehouse to the shipping area.

· Report appropriately, updates and communicates to management the tracking or transit the movement information for each shipment made from departure from facility to final destination.

· Update the different reports of inventories and shipments made each day for the use of monitoring and decision making by management.

Minimum requirements:

· Associate degree or equivalent of two years of university or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Six months of experience and/or training in the tasks corresponding to the basic responsibilities of the position.

· Puerto Rico driver’s license and forklift operator desired.

· Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish). Communication effectively verbal and in writing. Excellent oral and written communication skills, both English and Spanish.

· Excellent numerical skills and analytical ability in order to make fast and effective decisions.
