We re Looking For

With safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service as a priority, the Shipping & Receiving Lead will be a critical part of the fabrication shop. Shipping & Receiving Lead will receive, inspect, create material receiving reports for received materials, stage components, pull components and create fabrication kits per spool drawings, pull and load piping spools and components for shipping, create and affix shipping labels on pipe spools and pull and assemble all the necessary paperwork for shipments as well as oversee other shipping & receiving techs.

What You ll Experience

As a Shipping & Receiving Lead, you will:

  • Receive and inspect material into the facility and stage to the appropriate location
  • Create Material Receiving Report (MRR)
  • Picking, packing & dispatching customer orders.
  • Maintain good inventory accuracy by having a meticulous level of detail.
  • Manage deliveries and collections and tracking accordingly
  • Maintaining accurate stock holding and performing inventory counts where applicable
  • Identify, investigate, and process inventory discrepancies, as needed
  • Load and unload deliveries
  • Update required data into database
  • Process non-conforming stock on receipt and through reject procedures
  • Highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Help to ensure all processes are documented to required standard
  • Ability to read drawings to assemble pick & pack components
  • Inspection of components using gauges and tools
  • Record keeping of products assembled and/or tested
  • Working in any production department on inspection and small assembly where workload deems necessary
  • Ad Hoc administration support for production departments.
  • Overtime as needed
  • Heavy communication with the quality team and
  • project personnel including Project Manager(s), Project Engineer(s), as well as Craft Supervision
  • Embrace technological innovations and continuously seek to improve processes and best practices
  • Communicate, through the appropriate channels, any observations of issues
  • Meet corporate standard for development activity
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Company-specific systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic office and business equipment.
  • Solid communication skills, including written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to ask for help when needed, and willingness to learn.
  • Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company.
  • Willingness to be a team player and take direction from management.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand Construction Codes & Standards
  • Previous work experience in the construction industry
  • Professional experience with multi-site employers and remote workforces
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds as needed.

This position has regular contact with all levels of internal staff, field staff, and craft supervision. This position reports to the Quality Manager over the Fab Shop and is considered part of the quality team.
