Job Description Workshop & Field Service Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Workshop & Field Service Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and provide a range of maintenance, operational, and technical related support. The workshop & field service Manager is a key contributor to the asset meeting Maintenance and Reliability performance targets, the position is required to interface with various customers onshore and offshore departments including, EHS, Supply Chain and technical authorities.
The individual will be required to fulfill the duties of the Workshop & Field Service Manager as required.
This position will be in the US Conroe (or 20 miles close) – Texas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for all the Workshop and Field service operations to ensure the correct performance of the projects and the facilities are maintained in compliance with Company processes, safety standards, design standards, integrity and maintenance standards.
  • Perform duties as member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) on asset.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant procedures, reports, records, and documents required for daily operations and projects.
  • Conduct and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Pumps and compressors and, gas turbines ancillaries.
  • Conduct and oversee the removal of rotating equipment from site and then reinstall them at site after refurbishment.
  • Lead the disassembly, inspection, reassembly and maintenance on Solar Saturn 10, Saturn 20, Centaur 40, Centaur 50, Taurus T60, Taurus 70, Ruston TA 1500, TA1750, TB4900, TB 5400 Gas Turbines, Sulzer MSD Centrifugal pumps, BB5 Centrifugal pumps, GSG Centrifugal Pumps.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience with the following products: Solar, Ruston gas turbines, Sulzer, WEIR pumps.
  • Advanced English and Spanish languages, written and spoken.
  • Responsible of the installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls onshore and offshore,
  • Responsible for maintenance of tools, test equipment, etc., and complete documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.
  • Conduct and oversee vibration surveys and analysis using Vibration analyzer equipment.
  • Conduct and oversee borescope inspections on gas Turbines and other rotating equipment.
  • Conduct and oversee rotating equipment rotors balancing in the Workshop and trim balance to the equipment in the field.
  • Conduct and oversee coupling alignment using Dial indicators and Laser alignment equipment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley PLC for gas turbines.
  • Availability to travel whiting the US and internationality including Middle East, Africa and Asia.
  • Experience working with multicultural teams in the Middle East, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria Libya, Pakistan.
  • Responsible for the Accomplishment of specified tasks related to field service and workshop-based activities.
  • Ensure assets are following IMMI Turbines Inc Maintenance & Repair Philosophy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  • 15+ years of experience on Ruston & Solar Gas turbines and rotating equipment
  • 5+ years of experience on centrifugal pumps and Solar centrifugal compressors.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory position.
  • 5+ year’s international experience, preferably in the Middle East & West Africa.
  • Must be able to work to the highest standards using tooling and measurement equipment and experienced with coupling alignment and standard specifications.
  • Ability to perform borescope inspection on the gas Turbines.
  • Ability to perform shaft alignment on different rotating equipment, using laser alignment equipment and dial gauge indicators.
  • Root cause failure investigation of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation equipment.
  • Defect elimination process to improve equipment reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Formal training with Command of Major Emergencies competency.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills; work with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multinational team-oriented environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills English and Spanish.
  • Ability to train and motivate others.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP is essential.
  • Experience with Management of Change process.

SCHEDULE / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good health with the ability to accept immunizations/ medications that are recommended by the US Center of Disease Control work in West Africa & Middle East.
