This is a Full-time Seasonal position from now until 12/31/2022.

Summary: Assist in supervising the performance of all aspects of customer service including friendly interaction, fulfilling needs for cleanliness and attention to detail, fulfilling customer orders, maintaining food quality and safety, preparing food, serving food, and meeting or exceeding financial goals for Galley onboard the Showboat Branson Belle.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Ensure the food delivery truck is on time and all food products are put away and organized and labeled with proper rotation and dates.
• Ensure opening safety reports are done by checking coolers, freezers, and temp sheet logs.
• Determine attendance for the day and anticipate par levels of food products prepared.
• Prepare and cook food products.
• Direct Cooks and Galley Team Members during cruises, this would include ensuring the proper amount of food is cooked and plated, dishes are being washed, and food is being prepped for the next cruise/day.
• Work with servers and server assistants to make sure the proper foods are being served to our guests.
• Properly serve guests with food allergies.
• Maintain a safe food environment and follow safety procedures.
• Ensure all areas of the galley are clean and cleaning lists are signed.
• Maintain positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
• Complete all job responsibilities independently (self-supervising).
• Performing all “Attention to Detail” (ATD) duties including maintaining a clean work area.
• Maintain positive, helpful relationships across divisional lines and with management.
• Maintain high levels of energy and enthusiasm.
• Operate ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, handle knives, and other various kitchen equipment.
• Be involved with monthly inventory assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in scheduling employees

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Galley staff are in place at their stations.
• Orientate, coach, and train staff.
• Make financial decisions as assigned including ordering and inventory.
• Follow, audit, and implement all safety standards for yourself and others.
• Be a positive example of leadership to the Showboat Branson Belle Food team.
• Ensure compliance with federal guidelines while maintaining a positive work climate.

• Must be comfortable working on a moving vessel away from land.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must be able to complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
• Able to communicate efficiently

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 50 pounds frequently to 200 pounds maximum
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
• The ability to work in cramped quarters continuously
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions
• The ability to work at a rapid speed continuously
• The ability to use cooking equipment such as convection ovens, a proofer, knives, a dishwasher, hand trucks, and small kitchen tools frequently

• High volume, fast-paced, and banquet food production experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
