SKILLED in home Caregiver Job at Visiting Angels of North County
IMMEDIATE NEED FOR 4, 8 & 12 hour shifts in Escondido, Fallbrook, Vista, Carlsbad & surrounding areas.
We are looking for SKILLED Caregivers to provide care for our senior clientele in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help our clients.
Responsibilities
- ASSIST WITH TRANSFERS, AMBULATION AND CLIENT REPOSITIONING
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Incontinence care
- Help clients with physical therapy exercises (Case specific)
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE AS A CAREGIVER!
- Able to physically assist client with ambulation
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
