Job Description:

• Works under the direct supervision of the Post Secondary Director
• Establishes a network connection to community-based service agencies that provide extended services and support as needed
• Collaborates with the Network Staff to provide/support alumni activities in relation to social emotional and social services needs.
• Develops an effective management system (caseload) and information system for data reporting of services provided to alumni
• Serves as support and offers resources for Camden’s Promise Social Workers
• Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethics of the social work profession and to the mission and vision of the Camden’s Promise Charter School.
• Secure and refer needed services for alumni and their families
• Familiar with Camden County/Philadelphia Region (Parkside community) and Camden community resources (i.e. Hispanic Family Center, KROC, etc.)
• Organize their time, energies and workloads to fulfill their responsibilities and complete assignments of their position, with due consideration of the priorities among their various responsibilities
• Provide direct and indirect services to alumni and their families to promote and support alumni’s social successes.
• Creating an active register/process for alumni student to gain access and resources
• Identify/group persons in need of immediate resources/support in relation to access services as needed
• Assist Alumni/students to adjust to changes and challenges in their present lives (refer/outsource) as needed in matters such as illness (Covid-related), unemployment, family-changes, etc.
• Demonstrate commitment to the values and ethics of the social work profession.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (required)

· Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred

· Prior experience working with high school students and/or students (ages 18-24) and families in providing direct/referral services as needed

· Strong working knowledge of the NASW Standards for School Social Work and the Code of Ethics

· Ability to work with faculty, families, students and community partners

Skills:

· Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families and colleagues

· Commitment to supporting and empowering students with diverse backgrounds, including an understanding of at-risk children, gifted children, and children with disabilities

· Possess effective decision-making, managerial, communication and organizational skills

All applicants must have current FBI fingerprints NJ Criminal and Child Abuse background checks, as well as the appropriate instructional certification
