We have a need for a Software Developer with Real Time Control Systems experience to support our Mission Technologies Division, which has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization.
This position will support the US Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) Ground Vehicle Power and Mobility (GVPM) Real Time Control Systems Team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Conduct, monitor, direct and coordinate research, design, development and engineering activities on real-time control system design and development.
- Complete research and trade off analysis, requirements and specification development, contract and test monitoring, failure analysis, cost reduction analysis, configuration management, and technical integration support.
- Design, develop, evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions/architectures for real-time controls applications for military ground vehicles.
- Develop hardware and communication interface requirements, control system software requirements, and real-time controls software algorithms.
- Complete software coding using C programming language, develop algorithm description documents and test plans, performing software verification/validation testing, calibration, root cause analysis, and corrective action at test benches, in dynamometer cells, and in vehicles.
- Participates in the preparation of program plans, documentation, schedules, budgets, and milestones necessary for the overall planning and execution of the assigned program.
- Maintain close working relationship with engineering and management personnel within the government and at other commercial facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Experience with C programming language.
- Clearance: Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
