Your Impact:

Rauland is seeking an experienced architect who has domain and expert technical knowledge. In this role you will support and lead the architecture and development of medical based enterprise-class database systems. You will review and analyze database architectures with an eye towards scalability and performance. You will define and implement a technical roadmap as it relates to databases with enterprise class healthcare solutions. You will have the opportunity to plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend major changes affecting project growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluating technologies to fulfill the needs of the Rauland product roadmap.
• Informing stakeholders of the business impact of the technical decisions and resolving trade-offs.
• Approving software system architecture across all components and interfaces.
• Assessing the current state of the software system architecture and working with technical staff to recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
• Leading software quality, risk assessments and FMEA meetings and owing the integrity of the software platform.
• Providing guidance to software architects and development teams as needed.
• Reviewing estimates from the software team relating to NPD initiatives.
• Assisting with root cause determination, corrective action, and preventative actions for field issues.
• Ensuring compliance of the Rauland SDLC with the Rauland PDP.
• Enable quality-focused, predictable, and effective software development processes.
• Prepare and maintain documents that include architecture diagrams and data models.
• Work with product and engineering team members to resolve architectural issues.
• Execute and provide feedback regarding architecture and design standards.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of software system architecture experience that includes:
  • Experience in architecting enterprise grade fault-tolerant, high performance and reliable life safety systems on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Experience in architecting mobile solutions built around enterprise application and database architecture.
  • Experience and familiarity with distributed scalable cross-platform frameworks desired.
  • Experience working in a healthcare IT or medical device industry (FDA regulated industry preferred)
  • Experience with architecting solutions using Microsoft development tools and cloud components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal capabilities to effectively build and foster collaborative relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong ability to quickly interpret and transform ambiguous information into design artifacts to communicate concepts and ideas to various stakeholders.
