Green America is seeking a Solid Fuels Technician to join their Hannibal, MO team. Solid Fuels Technicians prepare and feed the best quality waste fuel material through the recycling process. This is a critical role ensuring the success of overall operations.

SOLID FUELS TECHNICIAN DETAILS :
Green America is seeking a Solid Fuels Technician to join their Hannibal, MO team. Solid Fuels Technicians prepare and feed the best quality waste fuel material through the recycling process. This is a critical role ensuring the success of overall operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OUR SOLID FUELS TECHNICIAN :
- Recycle fifty-five-gallon drums by emptying, scraping clean, smashing, and loading into hopper.
- Operate mobile equipment as needed to move materials.
- Operate hand tools (shovels, brooms, squeegees, scrapers, etc.)
- Monitor equipment to ensure continuous operations; investigates failures and takes correct action.
- Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for inspecting mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Perform minor repairs, consult with maintenance on equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot process problems associated with field operations and equipment.
- Respond to all incoming communications via phone and/or radio.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, and maintain balance while stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequently be required to walk on wet and/or gravel covered surfaces that may be in artificially lit conditions.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Frequently move 25-100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to wear full face respirator (requires being clean shaven).
- Computer literacy and navigation skills.
- Experience operating mobile equipment.
- Able to work overtime, and varying shifts as needed.
- Must be able to be on call and work necessary overtime.
- Required to communicate orally and in writing, in the English language.
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD :
- Previous experience in the hazard waste industry.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Mobile equipment experience (Tow Motor / Loader)
- Previous manufacturing experience
