Responsible for the sourcing support with new product introduction (NPI) teams. Under the direction of the Director, the primary role is to determine make vs. buy for new products and support either the operations team for make items or supplier relationship for purchase items. Perform insightful analysis with the support of the NPI team to assure new product is engineered for manufacturability and manage cost between operations and purchasing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend project team meetings
- Determine Make vs. Buy for new products
- Be the liaison between engineering and operations/suppliers
- Communication of projects needs to operations/suppliers
- Generate and manage supply agreements
- Generate and manage non-disclosure agreements
- Support supplier and operations in assuring engineering is designing for manufacturability
- Create quotation packets for new product items
- Place purchase orders
- Review demand plans with marketing and commercial teams
- Create supply plan and communicate to operations or suppliers
- Co-own project budget with project manager
Expected Areas of Competence
- Demonstrated strong communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to be key business partner with internal customers and suppliers
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team-driven environment.
- Highly motivated, self-starter willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities.
- Computer literate; intermediate to advanced Excel and Access required.
- Knowledge of information systems and their application to Finance.
Education/Experience Requirements
B.S. in engineering, business or related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience required in sourcing or manufacturing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Up to 15%
