The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District is seeking a Secondary Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team for the 2023-24 school year at our alternative high school, the Early College Academy. The position is half-time (.5 FTE). The Special Education Teacher will provide academic, functional, and social/emotional instruction and supports to students; collaborate and consult with student's team in order to promote educational success and wrap-around supports; provides supports to students with higher educational needs across settings. Creates an educational program and a classroom environment that is multicultural/gender and ability fair, developmentally appropriate, is favorable to learning and growth, and is based on the commitment that all children can learn. Work is performed under the general direction of the Principal. Supervision is exercised over Educational Assistant.

Salary: Competitive salary based on Salary Schedule
Duty Days: .5 FTE @197 days, includes 8 paid holidays!
