Job Summary
Selected as a Top Workplace in Philadelphia for 13 consecutive years and headquartered in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, Movers Specialty Service (MSS) is looking for a hardworking and energetic seasonal Professional Mover/Helper to join our Local Operations team this summer. Our Local Operation team provides relocation services to movers and relocating customers throughout the Tri-State area.
This is a great opportunity to learn carpentry and other useful trade skills.
Professional Mover/Helper Responsibilities

• Go on daily assignments serving private residences and businesses by using company vehicles
• Support our experienced Lead Professional Movers on daily truck routes.
• Perform a variety of duties, including appliance disconnect and reconnect, crating and disassembly and/or reassembly of household goods (ex: swing sets, wall units, grandfather clocks, and pool tables).
• Help build custom wooden crates as needed for items such as flat screen TV's, glass tabletops, artwork, and antiques.
• Responsible for the safe operations and power tools, including nail gun and table saw. Training will be provided.

Requirements

• Early start times and flexible schedule
• Overtime and Saturday hours
• Provide strong customer service for our clients.
• Ability to learn basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to lift heavy items - 75+ pounds.
• Safe driving skills and valid driver’s license.
• Crating, shrink wrapping, furniture assembling, and moving experience is a plus.
• High school diploma and some related experience OR general technical training and know-how are preferred.
