Job Title: Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary:

Nusano is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting & Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting & Finance, the Accounts Payable Specialist performs a wide variety of duties requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and independence. The Accounts Payable Specialist is a key member of the Accounting & Finance team and will be responsible for full cycle accounts payable functions such as entering invoices and payments, ACH/Wire details, and payment batches into the bank. Additionally, as we continue to grow, there is potential for this position to develop into an Accounts Payable Supervisor role in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day to day full cycle accounts payable transactions from receipt of invoices to payment
• Ensure accurate and timely payment processing, including the identification and application of the correct withholding tax in a multi-state environment
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts and collaborate with Purchasing to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Work with the team in implementing process improvements and enforcing policies and controls to increase efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of payment function
• Manage and process expense reimbursements
• Perform vendor reconciliations as needed to maintain accurate payable records
• 1099 Maintenance – including vendor set-up and W9 forms
• Manage the full bank draft cycle from receipt of ACH/Wire details to payment processing completion, including input and verification of routing and account numbers, preparation of the payment batches and entering the ACH/Wire details, and obtaining ACH/Wire authorizations
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies; process low-volume, high dollar vendor invoices.
• Respond to external vendors and internal customers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process
• Maintain a thorough and accurate knowledge of all company financial policies, controls, signature authorization limits, and all program approval requirements
• Assist team with gathering support for internal and external audits, including pulling documentation, running reports and preparing schedules
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reports as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and current financial legislation
• Multi-state tax payables knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of comfort working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
• Team player and capable of working cross-functionally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• QuickBooks and ERP experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience implementing an ERP system
• Supervisory experience within accounting, finance or related department
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
• Experience working in a start-up or rapidly changing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in a facility that produces radiation (fully monitored).
• Work to be conducted in both an office environment and the production facility.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse and manual dexterity.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
