As a Phenotyping Research Associate, You Will....
- Be responsible for the coordination and execution of controlled environment and field-based experiments, including morphological, physiological, and molecular plant measurements, for Inari's Science Phenomics service platform
- Contribute to the continuous development and optimization of new phenotyping workflows and documentation to drive standardization for equipment and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists and associates to enable appropriate experimental designs to generate relevant phenotypic data for stakeholders' needs
- Communicate phenotypic results to stakeholders in written technical reports and oral presentations
- Contribute to the ongoing development of high-throughput methodology for phenotyping
YOU BRING…
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years lab experience or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering) or equivalent
- Working knowledge of basic phenotyping practices and procedures for major row crops
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Creative and strategic thinking, willingness to be bold and take risks
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS…
- Experience in using statistical software for data analysis and visualization (e.g., R, Python).
- Experience in the use of automated phenotyping equipment and software
- Experience in sensor and image processing
