Keystone Retaining Walls, a division of Quikrete, is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join our Minneapolis team. The Staff Engineer provides technical support to the Keystone licensing network and their customers, prepares project estimates and details, and prepares certified design documents for retaining wall projects throughout the US.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to technical inquiries from licensees, dealers, contractors, engineers, and architects on project-specific inquiries and general industry questions.
• Provides project specific design services – including review of project plans, developing product solutions and quantity estimates, preparation of submittal drawings and calculations, providing technical advice – to assist the licensees and their customers.
• Establish and maintain rapport with clients.
• Maintains engineering standards, policies, best practices and procedures
• Achieves team goals in conjunction with all team members.
• Guides and tracks projects in the design phase. Ensure all project data is current andcommunicated to all team members on a regular basis. Assist with all projects, at all stages, as necessary.
• Work cooperatively with other Quikrete companies and products.
• Support promotional and strategic efforts of the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Civil or related engineering field, technical school degree, or equivalent design experience is required.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience with geotechnical and/or structural experience in earth retaining structure design, detailing, and layout. Field experience is also helpful.
• AutoCAD design experience, familiarity with MS Office and computer design programs.
• Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player; able to share thoughts openly, accept new ideas and get the job done in a highly interactive process.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
