JTEC Consulting is recruiting for a
StreamSets Administrator to support daily operations for a large data services organization. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of distributed computer environments and experience working with SQL, Spark, and ETL. This position requires abilities to excel in a dynamic work environment.
Experience working with COTS/SaaS products and providing StreamSets administration is required for consideration.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Support administration and daily operation of StreamSets platform
- Support data integration across platform
- Work closely with delivery teams to meet clients' functional and technical requirements
- Support overall business transformation with help desk support/triage
- Support change requests and impacts including tracking and prioritizing requests
- Bring innovation and problem solving ideas to the team
- Other duties as assigned
Education and qualifications include (but are not limited to):
- U.S. citizenship
- Current secret security clearance (Interim Secret will be considered)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 1+ years of experience with StreamSets administration role including:
- Experience implementing test and perform application upgrades of StreamSets application
- 2+ years of related experience administering COTS/SaaS products including:
- Supporting large scale business transformation
- Analyzing errors and troubleshooting
- Configuring settings and permissions
- Administering tools
- Proactively engage users
- Experience with SQL, Spark, ETL
- Experience providing help desk support including:
- Triage
- Tracking and prioritization of feature requests
- Evaluating change management requests and impacts
- Organizing RCAs
- Experience writing and maintining user guides and Tier I FAQs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
- Local to Washington DC area with availability to support on-site work
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Qlik dashboard and development functions is a plus
- Experience supporting training for BI tools is a plus
- Experience with DoD Data Management to manipulate and integrate databases with SQL, SAS, or other languages is a plus
- Experience working with big data systems (Cloudera, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive) is a plus
- Experience working with stakeholders to communicate development plans and track progress milestones is a plus
- Quantitative skills and experience such as statistical analysis, process design, and data management is a plus
