We are looking for a Structural Engineering Director to work for one of our clients, a civil engineering firm, located in Melville, NY.
This is a permanent, full-time job.
In this role you will be responsible for operational leadership of structural engineering function, collaborating with office directors, market leaders and executive team.
The ideal candidate would have Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a minimum 15 years of technical civil/structural expertise with strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic planning and financial performance of the Structural Engineering discipline.
- Manage overall financial performance of the Structural Engineering discipline, which includes setting, managing, and achieving annual revenue and profit goals and staff utilization goals, and optimizing performance.
- Direct, review and approve scopes/budgets and schedules; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals and meet expectations.
- Ensure the Structural Engineering discipline is well connected in all offices and effective and ongoing communication remains at the forefront of daily responsibilities.
- Monitor staff workload and utilization and work collaboratively with office directors and technical managers to establish and evaluate employee goals and provide guidance/training as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
