Job Description

Earth Wall Products is a supplier of retaining wall systems and construction materials used in residential, commercial, industrial, DOT, and rail applications. Earth Wall Products is seeking an engineer to be a part of a rapidly growing company, changing the infrastructure industry with innovative products. We have an opening for a Structural Engineer I at our location in Smyrna, GA.

Minimum Qualifications:

● B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field of study with 2+ years of experience in Structural engineering or related projects.

● M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred with 0-2 years of experience in Structural engineering or related projects.

● Proficient in LRFD design/analysis and should have basic knowledge on how moments and shear act in structures.

● Proficient in rebar detailing and its take-off.

● Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering is preferred.

● Demonstrate verbal communication, writing, and technical presentation skills

● Demonstrate organizational skills for keeping multiple tasks on track from concept through delivery.

● Software proficient (including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Pro).

● Perform design and construction load rating analysis and evaluation of existing structures for repairs/retrofits. Collect, compile, and analyze data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development,

● Proficient using Bluebeam,Mathcad, RISA, ANSYS or any finite element analysis software (preferred)

Responsibilities:

- Produce structural designs, calculations, and quantities for designated projects

- Produce takeoffs and preliminary quantities for designated projects

- Assist with DOT, Rail and review engineer response to comments concerning product and project approvals

- Prepare CAD sketches for proposed wall solutions to assist Sales Engineers.

- Assist the sales team in determining optimal solutions for challenging projects.

- Use innovation and creativity in problem solving on current projects under construction.
