South Mountain Performing Arts (SMPA) - Phoenix’s newest state-of-the-art cultural venue and dance facility - is seeking a dynamic Student and Family Engagement Coordinator to lead our front desk team. SMPA is one of Arizona’s most acclaimed dance training programs, and our new venue opens in September 2022.

We are seeking a fun-loving and upbeat individual with great people skills to join our growing community. The Student and Family Engagement Coordinator creates a positive and welcoming environment for SMPA dancers while on campus, facilitates the enrollment of new students, and ensures accurate and timely data processing. We maintain one of the states most diverse student enrollment and fluency in Spanish is a requirement.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

The Student and Family Engagement Coordinator oversees the front-of-house and customer needs for South Mountain Performing Arts. The Coordinator ensures a warm and welcoming arrival experience, greets students and parents upon arrival, assists with new student enrollment, and facilitates data entry, retail sales and tuition processing.

SCHEDULE

We offer afternoon and evening classes, Monday through Saturday. The Student and Family Engagement Coordinator is needed 20-30 hours per week for a minimum of four days per week within our operating hours:

• Monday - 3:00pm - 8:00pm
• Tuesday - 3:00pm - 8:00pm
• Wednesday - 9:00am - 12:30 & 3:00pm - 8:00pm
• Thursday - 3:00pm - 8:00pm
• Friday - 3:00pm - 6:00pm
• Saturday - 9:30am - 1:00pm

Qualifications

The Student and Family Engagement Coordinator must have demonstrated customer service skills. We do not require educational experience, however, a background check is required as this is a position that regularly engages with youth and children. An interest in dance is encouraged, but not required.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Benefits: Waived tuition for one child or family member, and reduced tuition for any additional family members.
