Shopbop is looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong fashion sense and broad knowledge of trends, designers, and brands to join our team. The Stylist Assistant will assist with coordination of samples and merchandise coming in and out of our office and with photoshoot related duties. This entry-level role supports the editorial styling team in our Brooklyn studio.
Responsibilities:
Shopbop is looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong fashion sense and broad knowledge of trends, designers, and brands to join our team. The Stylist Assistant will assist with coordination of samples and merchandise coming in and out of our office and with photoshoot related duties. This entry-level role supports the editorial styling team in our Brooklyn studio.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with sample coordination for Shopbop editorial shoots.
- Check in and out samples, ensuring items accurately match our buy.
- Maintain and create strong vendor relationships.
- Liaise with fashion & buying offices to align on brand placements and product assortments.
- Manage and track inventory and samples through Fashion GPS, ensuring items are scanned and accounted for at all times.
- Collaborate with stylists to ensure appropriate pieces are pulled into the office and closet is organized and merchandised for style-outs and photo-shoots.
- Prep various items for photoshoots.
- Assist stylists on photoshoots with steaming, dressing models, SKU notes, packing and on-set assistance.
- Repackage, inspect, and track all product as it leaves the studio.
- Ensure merchandise is returned with proper documentation and on deadline.
- Acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications
- Ability to self-direct
- Willingness to dive deep, seek solutions, and make practical decisions and suggestions
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and adhere to deadlines
- Knowledge of current fashion trends & Shopbop brands
