Supply Chain Analyst – Rochester Hills, MI

We are currently searching for a dynamic Supply Chain Analyst to support the fulfillment of Customer requirements and delivery dates of products. The role will communicate to Internal Customers, Production Schedulers, Material Planners, and Manufacturing Departments to ensure the timely and quality execution of the Production Schedules.

Primary responsibilities will include:

 Support the Production Schedulers and Master Scheduler to achieve on-time deliveries

 Support and/or lead weekly meetings with internal Customers and provide status update on Production and risks to critical projects

 Follow the adherence of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) weekly

 Analyze shortages for critical projects and communicate to Material Planners and Internal Customers

 Attend the MPS weekly meeting between the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations Department

 Communicate project risks

 Follow up on action plans discussed

 Support the analysis of the Sales & Operating (SOP) Plan monthly, in order to prepare the proper volume levels and optimize resources (labor, machines, materials, supplier readiness and capacity)

 Support the SOP monthly meeting with Supply Chain, Operations, and Segment departments

 Follow up on action plans discussed

 Attend Engineering Change meetings and coordinate the start and end effective dates to minimize obsolescence

 Analyze, understand, and anticipate customer needs, ensuring they are reflected in Production activities

 Review internal customer BOM’s for accuracy and issue resolution prior to committing final customer delivery dates

 Work with Material Planning and Production Schedulers to identify resource concerns and timing to finalize delivery dates

 Communication with internal customers and operations team on production swaps and engineering change impact

 Work closely with manufacturing to understand issues and drive for quick resolution with support teams

 Participate in weekly capacity meetings with Manufacturing Operations

 Identify areas of growth/improvement to manufacturing engineering for expansion and improvements in tooling/equipment for increased throughput

 Identify trends in shortages to internal customers and material planning work centers for forecast BOM accuracy

 Maintain open/teamwork communications regarding the production status

 Assist in the resolution of questions and problems related to the completion of factory orders

 Review forecast to optimize overall production capacity, providing timely feedback to internal customers on potential issues

 Review and maintain internal customer orders to drive planning priorities throughout planning network

 Support customer needs

 Prepare special analysis as requested/required

 Operate independently maintaining a high degree of initiative

 Earn the confidence and respect of the other operations members and internal customers

 Be ever resourceful and exhibit ingenuity to resolve the unexpected

 Develop versatility in all business fields while staying abreast of new technology relative, and responsibilities

 Support Continuous Improvement activities with a positive attitude

 Communicate and project a professional business climate with all contact

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

 Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred, or equivalent, or relevant experience

 Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain/planning/scheduling role preferred

 Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in a job-shop, production environment preferred

 APICS Certifications desirable

 Ability to use MS Excel to analyze and manipulate data.

 Solid understanding of MRP practices.

 Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. Oracle ERP system preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
