The Labor & Delivery Team at Aurora West Allis Medical Center is looking for a Surgical Tech to join us on nights. Using the latest technology, relying on advanced research and taking a compassionate approach, our OB-GYNs are here for everything our mom’s and babies need for a healthy beginning.

Schedule Details:

• Shift/Schedule: 1900-0730 (3 shifts per week)
• Weekends: Sunday – Wednesday NOCs
• Holidays: Yes – 3 year rotation
• Call: Available but not required

Some of the job duties of a Surgical Technician include:

• Performs a variety of preparatory, scrubbing and related services necessary to provide patient service in the operating room.
• Assists with all types of procedures and maintains basic knowledge of a variety of procedures.
• Assists with gowning and gloving
• Maintain a sterile field, instruments, suture and related materials
• Anticipate the Surgeons' needs
• Pass instruments and/or supplies to the Surgeons

Education Required:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• High School Diploma

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
