Engineering Firm is searching for a Survey Crew Tech to work out of their Groesbeck, TX office location.

Prefer experience working on a Survey Crew but this is not required.

In this position you will be required to cut brush, drive stakes, follow the party chief directions and generally do whatever is necessary to complete the work task.

The day starts at 7:00am and generally finishes up around 4 pm depending on the job specifics.

We are looking for a General Laborer to assist our land surveying team in performing various tasks related to land surveying. The ideal candidate will have experience working in outdoor environments and be comfortable with physically demanding work. The General Laborer will work under the supervision of the Survey Party Chief and will be responsible for supporting the surveying crew in various ways to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment, such as tripods, total stations, and GPS receivers.
• Clear brush and debris from the survey area using various tools, including machetes and chainsaws.
• Carry equipment and supplies to and from the survey site.
• Mark boundaries and stakes as directed by the Survey Party Chief.
• Dig holes and trenches for monument placement, using shovels and post-hole diggers.
• Measure distances and elevations using measuring tapes, rods, and other surveying instruments.
• Provide support to the Survey Party Chief and other crew members as needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from the Survey Party Chief.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in land surveying or related field.
• Knowledge of surveying equipment and techniques.
• Experience using GPS and other surveying software.

Physical Requirements: The General Laborer for Land Surveying position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work, including:

• Lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and working on uneven terrain for extended periods of time.
• Bending, stooping, and kneeling to perform tasks such as digging and setting markers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
