We are currently looking to hire a Systems Integration and Test Engineer III for our Lititz, Pennsylvania facility. As part of Sechan's New Product Development (NPD) Engineering team, you will support the design, integration and testing of new product architectures to demonstrate that product performance meets customer requirements.
What will you be responsible for?
- Conducting system level modeling to predict product performance against requirements
- Designing, developing, integrating and testing new products to meet performance requirements
- Develop embedded software to meet performance requirements or modify software to add new capabilities to existing products
- Evaluating technical data provide recommendations for improving product performance
- Troubleshooting faults using relevant electrical, mechanical and analytical tools to determine root cause and provide resolution
- Developing test procedures and reports to validate product performance
- Assisting the NPD team with
- ???????decomposing customer needs and system requirements into product concepts
- providing input on system architecture and component selection
- developing block diagrams that outline physical connections and data and signal flow
- developing technical data package items, such as technical drawings, bill of materials, interconnect diagrams and wiring schematics
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Experience with Linux operating systems required; PetaLinux or similar embedded operating systems a plus
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages and principles for embedded applications; C++ at a minimum
- Experience in meeting project objectives and product performance requirements by integrating commercial off the shelf (COTS) components, custom designed electro-mechanical hardware and custom software
- Experience interfacing with communication standards (Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CANbus, USB, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the design, integration and testing of systems
What qualifications are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
Location / Hours / Environment
- Office environment, as well as manufacturing and environmental testing areas
- Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM with every other Friday off. Additional hours as needed to meet demand occasional off-shift hours may also be required to meet critical proposal schedules and customer deadlines
- Primary location will be Lancaster with occasional US travel required
